Lily Nickel is an artist from Queens, New York. She received her BFA in Painting and Drawing from Purchase College in 2021.

Nickel’s central medium is oil paint and she also works with textiles, collage, performance, and other mixed media.

Currently she is exploring themes of collection and networks within a single body. She uses repeating images of things like cats, stars, shells, birds, flowers, gems, acorns, and gnomes to create a vast array of tender paintings that both connect and disconnect in one big constellation.
